Band 7 Operations Manager - Cath Labs

The closing date is 11 August 2025

Job summary

Interviews for this role will be on 26th August.

This role will focus primarily on managing the delivery of the Cath Lab refurbishment programme at QE. The successful candidate will operate independently as a direct link between the QE Cardiology department and external suppliers. Project management will form a significant proportion of the day-to-day workload alongside balancing other departmental responsibilities. Due to the evolving nature of the department rolling out this Cath Lab refurbishment, service sustainability and development will also be high priorities. This role provides exciting opportunities for an Operations Manager with exposure to projects that will drive the department forwards and leave a lasting impact on the QE. This busy role requires an adaptable candidate with a can-do attitude to varied and complex problem-solving. Distractions from project work will be frequent and varied. Candidates are expected to have experience in balancing competing priorities and excellent time management skills

Main duties of the job

The headline deliverables of this role are to ensure the Cath Labs refurbishment is delivered in a timely manner, developing the service through advanced planning of a hybrid lab, and supporting the Cardiology team to maintain service delivery.

The bulk of daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables are outlined in the JD & PS. However, this role will have more of a project focus whilst still retaining departmental operational delivery responsibilities. This balance is a challenging and exciting role
