Job summary
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust is one of the largest acute hospital Trusts in England, serving the populations of Birmingham and Solihull. The Trust is composed of four main hospital sites; Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital. The post-holder will be required to work and rotate across all sites.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy, friendly team and support our department. We are UKAS accredited to ISO 15189 standards and MHRA approved.
To work as part of a team providing comprehensive Administration / Co-ordination support to corporate services.

Working in conjunction with colleagues, service users and internal and external stakeholders.
The post holder will work under indirect supervision and will directly contribute to and Co-ordinate the efficient running of the service.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity working in a fast-paced department that is continually growing and to expand and develop your existing knowledge and skills while contributing to an integral part of the laboratory.
The successful candidate will take a pragmatic, flexible and enthusiastic approach to their daily workloads which will include but is not limited to; undertake where required typing which may include touch type from audio and/or copy type from written documentation which may include letters, emails, reports and any other correspondence as required, create documents / spreadsheets / reports as required using IT Systems, use Trust systems to input electronic data as required, receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries as appropriate, *photocopying, Scanning and filing letters and documents as required and arrange meetings and appointments as necessary.
The candidate must have excellent attention to detail, able to clearly communicate any issues identified and troubleshoot if possible.
