Job summary
The Tissue Viability Service at UHB provides expert wound management, clinical support and advice to staff caring for patients with a wide range of tissue integrity problems.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse with a passion for wound care to join our team. The successful applicant would participate in delivering the team's strategy and improving staff knowledge and skills in pressure ulcer prevention and complex wound management.
The applicant should have advanced communication skills, be willing to teach and be able to support teams and clinical areas in the introduction of new practices.
The core service days and hours are Monday to Friday 8am -- 4pm, the successful candidate will be required to work across all of the UHB acute hospital sites.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties:
Provide specialist nursing advice and support for patients, carers and staff
*Provide formal and informal education to staff and patients
*Devise and deliver a range of educational and training packages
*Support allocated Clinical Delivery Group within the organisation
*Assist with clinical development in maintaining and improving all aspects of clinical governance, evidence based practice, quality assurance and monitoring within the service
*Assist with service audits/activities
*Assist with monitoring standards of clinical practice, audit, research and teaching to continually improve standards of care and patient experience
*Ensure safe and effective clinical practice
*Enhance patient experience
*Ensure effective delivery of service/organisational objectives
*Assist with the development/update of policies and guidelines
