1 x 33 hours per week Monday to Friday 10:00-17:00 (1 of these days will be 09:30-17:00)
1 x 16 hours per week Thursday and Friday 08:00-16:30
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Clinic Administrator to join the Offsite Phlebotomy Appointments team, part of Outpatients Department at Good Hope Hospital. This post will cover a variety of Outpatient related duties, including prepping of Outpatient clinics, booking of blood test appointments over the telephone for adults and children and recording of clinic outcomes.
We are seeking a proactive, compassionate, collaborative and detail-oriented individual to support patient appointment bookings, provide a professional service, and perform administrative processes within our healthcare setting.
This post is based within the Offsite Phlebotomy team who are based within Good Hope Hospital; however, the post holder may be required to work in other Outpatient departments at Good Hope, Heartlands, Solihull or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital if the service need arises. Attention should be drawn to the requirements contained in the Person Specification for the role.

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations, as well as handling patient and clinician queries via telephone calls and email. The role involves team-based administrative support, such as preparing documents, labels, registrations, referrals, and maintaining accurate patient records. Additionally, the candidate will liaise with healthcare professionals regarding blood test requests, utilise Excel and SharePoint for workflow management, and record appointment data from various booking sources. They will also contribute to system improvements by supporting pilot programmes, managing shared inbox correspondence, and ensuring effective collaboration within the team.
