Job summary
As part of our modernization plan to develop a first class service at this forward thinking Trust, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a pro-active, enthusiastic, self-motivated, individual to join our innovative and successful Emergency Department Reception Management team.
The role will be based predominantly at Good Hope but the post holder is expected to work rotational shifts at Heartlands and Good Hope Hospitals when required. The post holder will have a mminimum of 2 years HR experience, preferably within the NHS and be able to undertake a variety of HR related work; along with experience of supervising a team.
Main duties of the job
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite for this role. Evidence of managing difficult situations is key to this role. A high level of competence in Microsoft packages is essential as is flexibility to meet service needs.
General duties will include: co-ordinating reception rotas, HR management (recruitment, sickness, appraisals, payroll, staff training), audit and quality checks all in line with the Trust policy and procedures. The post holder will also be expected to undertake other duties depending on service needs.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Reception Manager. The ability to remain calm under pressure in this customer facing role and maintain confidentiality at all times is absolutely essential, as is the need to manage your own time and diary.
