Band 3 Ward Service Coordinator - Older Adults

Job summary

Ward 11 are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to join our dedicated and dynamic team. If you have passion and drive and would take pride in working alongside a busy team within a housekeeping role, this would be a great opportunity for you. The ideal candidates should possess both good communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate would be expected to work alongside the aged care team to ensure that we continue to provide and improve the care we deliver in all aspects, with patient safety being at the forefront of our practices

Main duties of the job

To receive, welcome and guide visitors to the ward area

Checking wall Oxygen and suction is in working order and supporting the nursing staff in maintaining this.

Cleaning and checking all nursing equipment are clean and working ordered, ensuring that defects are logged, reported, recorded and closed down

Ensure that a high standard of ward cleanliness in ward kitchens is maintained at all times including

Take the lead on meal ordering and assits with giving out meals/puddings.

Provide good hydration rounds to our eldery patients

Top up stock levels, and order any stock ward request to Ensure sufficient supplies fit for purpose

Complete audits on the ward and feedback result to ward manger and Matron

Answsering the telephones on the ward

Qualifications

Essential

  • *Evidence of Level 2 on both Maths & English qualifications ( CSE Grade 1/ GCSE Grades 4-9 or A* -C / Level 2 Functional Skills / O Level grade A-C / Level 2 National Certificate / Level 2 National Diploma / Level 2 ESOL )
  • *Evidence of completion of Level 3 Qualification or above in Health / Social Care or Hospitality & Catering ( BTEC/ CACHE Level 3 Award / Level 3 Certificate or Diploma ) or 2 A levels or equivalent experience of working in the NHS in a patient/public facing role in health / care or hospitality & catering
  • *Evidence of completion of training associated with employment in a role associated with health / care / hospitality or catering i.e. : Customers service/ Food Hygiene / Care Certificate/ Health & Safety i.e. COSHH
  • *Evidence of completion of "in house" training associated with employment, via on-line training platforms, Moodle, in house training etc.

  • *Considerable experience of working in a health/ care role or hospitality/ catering role which is customer facing in an NHS or health / care provider role as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • *Experience of undertaking audit of stock and replenishment of supplies

  • *Can demonstrate understanding of the following :

  • oMoving and handling
