Your expertise in job evaluation methodology will directly influence workforce stability, retention, and ultimately, the quality of care delivered across our specialist services from Good Hope to Heartlands, QE to Solihull Hospital.

Main duties of the job

Leading the Trust's comprehensive job evaluation service, you'll oversee the complete lifecycle from initial job description development through to appeals processes. Your analytical expertise will be essential as you scrutinise role requirements against national profiles, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all staff groups whilst maintaining the rigorous standards expected in our complex healthcare environment.

Partnership collaboration forms the heart of this role. You'll work closely with People teams to standardise job descriptions, provide specialist training to colleagues and Trade Union representatives, and participate directly in job evaluation panels. Your ability to interpret complex role requirements and translate them into appropriate bandings will directly impact individual careers and organisational effectiveness.

Managing FOI requests & Subject Access Requests adds another dimension to your responsibilities, requiring meticulous attention to compliance whilst responding to sensitive enquiries. You'll manage an Assistant People Advisor, providing development opportunities whilst ensuring administrative coordination supports the entire evaluation process efficiently.

The hybrid nature of this position reflects the collaborative essence of the work whilst recognising the focused analysis time needed. Your expertise in MS Office will be crucial for producing detailed reports, that communicate complex evaluation outcomes clearly to diverse stakeholders.
