Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Site Team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will have a problem-solving approach, be quality driven, and have the patient at the forefront of decisions you make. If you are an established leader and role model, this could be the role for you. You will be responsible for maintaining safety, capacity and flow across a complex tertiary Centre, and be the most senior manager on site in the out of hours period.
Main duties of the job
Accountable for service delivery for the site capacity provision within the Trust
-To proactively manage Site capacity in and out of hours, ensuring that safe and effective decision making occurs to streamline the patient journey at admission, transfer and discharge.
-To provide real time capacity information to internal and external stakeholders through the provision of accurate reporting including situation reporting and escalation management systems
-To deliver professional and operational priorities from a corporate perspective
-To support senior colleagues across a spectrum of general and operational management issues aimed at managing overall capacity and patient flow.
-To maintain a leading role in the management of clinical capacity to accommodate elective and emergency admissions
-To facilitate staff and team development and ensure effective communication systems operate corporately.
