Job summary
The Medical Engineering Department provides a range of services for the repair and management of medical equipment from both UHB NHS Foundation Trust and external Service Level Agreement (SLA) sites.
To complete Level 3 -- Business Administration Programme
The apprenticeship would be for 24 months in which time the candidate would:
*Attend college and work placements as set out in the training programme.
*Complete and pass appropriate academic modules to the required breadth and depth of underpinning knowledge.
*Gain practical understanding and experiences of wide range of services carried out within the administration element of the department.
The Business Administration Apprentice is a key member of the Department of Medical Engineering and is expected to ensure that high quality administrative and secretarial support is always provided, enabling the Department to function as effectively as possible.
Support the use and implementation of the Departmental Equipment Management System. Gain knowledge of and support the use of the Department's Quality Management System.
Main duties of the job
Provide admin support to the medical engineering department, dealing with visitors, taking telephone calls, inputting data into the departments equipment management system, raising and receipting orders and arranging collection of parcels and booking in of parcels been delivered.

- *Have information technology skills to operate word processing, and e-communication packages commonly found in the workplace and to use spreadsheets to record and analyse complex data.
