We have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Band 6 rotations, covering a wide variety of specialist acute in- & out-patient areas; Trauma, including Major Trauma, Respiratory Medicine, Oncology & Haematology, Critical Care, Neurosciences, Stroke, Burns & Plastics, Cardiothoracic & Specialist Surgery including regional transplant centre, Elderly Care & OPAL (Older persons Assessment and Liaison team) & MSK, Neuro & Respiratory Outpatients.

The service actively supports personal development for all staff. Within this role you will be involved in weekly in-service training sessions. We also provide an additional Therapy band 6 development programme to support leadership skills.

With any role within UHB, each post comes with the support of our team & managers. This is extended by support from our School of Nursing, AHPs & Midwifery. Main duties of the job

You will be involved in the assessment and treatment of patients across a wide variety of clinical specialties.

Applicants should have completed a core rotation in Respiratory and have Respiratory on-call experience, whilst having relevant experience in managing patients with Musculoskeletal and Neurological conditions.

You will support the supervision of band 5 physiotherapists, assistant staff & students on placement.

Key skills for this post include confidence in communication, leadership, collaborative working with peers, clinical reasoning, prioritisation, delegation and time management, and a personal desire to develop.

Within each clinical area there is the opportunity for involvement in service development, audit and research. The department has a strong emphasis on personal development with links to the School of Nursing, AHPs & Midwifery, and several Universities across the region.
