Job summary

The post holder will become part of the 4Trauma4Patients (4T4P) team- a charity funded, wellbeing team for QE Patients and Staff who manage patients with traumatic injury. Daily contact with all trauma patients and their families is a desire of the 4T4P service and the post holder will be expected to talk to trauma patients and their families, to provide empathy, to identify and support needs not yet met by NHS resources

The post holder will;

Provide a comprehensive administration/Co-ordination service of the Major Trauma Service.

Work in conjunction with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to provide an efficient service.

It is essential that the post holder exercises initiative and judgement using acquired skills and knowledge, maintaining confidentiality at all times. The post holder will provide an empathic and sensitive point of contact for service users

Main duties of the job

To work in conjunction with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to provide an efficient

4Trauma4Patients (4T4P) service.

It is essential that the post holder exercises initiative and judgement using acquired skills and knowledge, maintaining confidentiality at all times. The post holder will provide an empathic and sensitive point of contact for service users.

It is essential that the post holder exercises active listening and trauma informed practice when communicating with service users to identify their needs. The post holder will be proactive in co-ordinating care. The post holder will communicate with colleagues, clinical staff, stakeholders and external services or charities to provide holistic care for service users.

Knowledge and use of various Microsoft Office Software programmes including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access (database) to produce letters, presentations, reports and other relevant correspondence

To develop and maintain an individual caseload management and organisational tools to facilitate the self-management of your workload. Support and maintain an individual filing system to include correspondence, reports, documentation relevant to the department. Promptly update service caseload records such as the 4T4P spreadsheet as appropriate
