Job summary

The Deputy Portering Manager supports the overall management and coordination of portering services within the hospital environment.

This roles ensures the effective delivery of support services and emergency response.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Manager is responsible for supervising portering staff, managing rotas maintaining high standard and safety and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • *Basic Level of literacy & numeracy (E)
  • *Successful completion of aviation fire training, including both theoretical training and hot fire training, on a regular basis to retain a certificate of competence, or willing to complete (E)

  • *Certificate in or evidence of working towards first line supervisory management or willingness to achieve (E)
