Solihull Hospital delivers in and out of hospital services and provides vital services to communities who rely on us for care and support.
Key to this is the Tissue Viability Service- this specialist service provides expert advice and clinical input into preventing pressure ulcers and managing complex wounds.
Our team manage risk to avoid admission; it provides optimum care to improve patient outcomes in wound care and skin integrity to enable effective healing and prevention of reoccurrence.
We do this through delivering specialist assessment and treatment plans and/or educating the community workforce to ensure assessment and care are provided in line with national best practice standards. You will be joining a team of committed and experienced Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialists and Wound Care Nurses.
You will work with the wider MDT providing expert high quality patient focused care to advice and support patients, families and HealthCare Professionals. You will be working closely with GP's, Community Teams and Acute Trust staff.
We are looking to appoint highly skilled, experienced and motivated nurses to join our Team. Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence are essential to fulfil this role. You will share our passion to strive to improve and enhance care for this group of patients through direct caseload management, teaching, service improvement, research and audit.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses who can demonstrable experience of working in tissue viability with knowledge of managing wounds, pressure ulcer prevention and lower limb wound management.
Highly developed clinical skills to include holistic wound assessment, individualised personalised care planning.
Motivated to provide education to both patients and staff to improve standards of care. Passionate to support patient independence and self-management, this will include education, signposting.
You will have previous evidence of providing teaching on a variety of platforms to offer patients and staff a blended learning experience. You will inspire, influence, and motivate this critical workforce to promote excellence in professional practice and will lead quality and safety standards to ensure our patients continue to receive the very best care.
