Job summary
As part of our recruitment strategy, we are looking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic, dynamic Community Administrator to join our Community Midwifery Team. The successful candidate will be required to provide administrative support to the Community Midwives, Community Midwife Matron and Team Leaders. You will operate within the Community Team and act as part of a wider inpatient administrative team.

We provide high quality care to the women and families we care for. Our community team's work across three sites that include Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Action all internal and external telephone enquires supporting the Community Team by screening and diverting all calls and as appropriate and giving advice and information in accordance with local policies and procedures.
Provide non- clinical advice, information to patients, clients and relatives.
Action community discharges to appropriate team diaries.
Keep a record of community stock and equipment.
Ordering stock for community midwives.
Sign posting patients enquiries to appropriate departments.
Keeping office area orderly and tidy and ensuring notice boards are within dates.
Performing administrative jobs for Community Midwives such as photocopying, printing.
Working with porters and be able to use hospital systems to ensure smooth running of maternity services.
Admin work such as dealing with post and general office duties.
