Job summary
An exciting development opportunity for a Team Leader position has arisen within the Elective Waiting List Team,based at Good Hope Hospital. This post is full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The Team Leader is responsible for the day to day supervision of a Waiting List Team who are responsible for managing and booking the inpatient admissions for the specialties , ensuring the NHS national 2 Week Wait and Diagnostic targets are met , whilst also ensuring all long waiting routine patients are booked.
The Team Leader will work collaboratively with other Team Leaders within the Department, cross covering as needed and will be line managed by the Elective Care Support Manager.
Main duties of the job
The Team Leader role will be responsible for ensuring that the Theatre lists are booked according to the Theatre 6-4-2 policy and Speciality instructions, will ensure that any cancellations are back filled, will ensure that patients pre ops are booked in a timely manner, will ensure that all pre op clinics are utilised appropriately and that waiting lists are managed according to the Patient Access Policy.
This role will also have HR management responsibilities including - managing initial sickness reviews and sickness stages, conducting appraisals , ensuring mandatory training is up to date and training new starters within the Department
