The Trust is looking to recruit a Deputy Trust Secretary (Corporate Governance)
This is a key senior leadership role, and the successful candidate will lead on all aspects of corporate governance, supporting decision making through the Trust and ensuring that robust governance frameworks are in place at all levels of decision making.
You will also be pivotal in ensuring that development and implementation of any system wide governance assurance processes are integrated into our governance structures and that the Trust's improvement programmes, policy and risk frameworks are effectively embedded.
You will be experienced in all aspects of corporate governance and its application to risk and assurance processes, including the Well Led framework, be confident in managing staff in related disciplines, and providing advice and support on best practice across the organisation.

Main duties of the job
Working with the Trust Secretary, the post holder will lead, plan, undertake and co-ordinate all aspects of corporate governance ensuring that a high quality of governance is maintained in respect of the Board and its Committees and the Council of Governors and their Committees. The Deputy Trust Secretary will also oversee and implement induction and Board member development, will oversee the integration of all corporate governance improvement projects with the Board Assurance Framework, ensure that corporate governance standards satisfy the Well Led framework and any other regulatory requirements applicable to the Trust, and will provide leadership to the Corporate Governance Team and the Corporate Risk Lead.
The Deputy Trust Secretary will play a key role in developing the Group Accountability Framework including the design and implementation of local decision making at a hospital level and to oversee and appraise the effectiveness of such arrangements and their relationship with the group decision making structures.
The Deputy Trust Secretary will deputise in the absence of the Trust Secretary.
