Band 6 Cardiac Physiologist- Echocardiographer

Job summary

You will be a qualified Cardiac physiologist. You will be required to Echo independently however there be training towards BSE accreditation if not yet accredited. This will be bespoke training programme in a department with highly skilled echocardiographers. There will some cardiac physiology work in other areas of the cardiology diagnostic service when required you will also be expected to support the department in maintaining its accreditation and the training and development of other colleagues of all levels.

Main duties of the job

Working towards BSE accreditation with bespoke training programme. This is also essential for professional development. This job description is designed to assist post holders with understanding what is expected of them in their role.

We may ask them to undertake other duties, as required, which are not necessarily specified on the job description but is required as part of the role.

All post holders must take responsibility to ensure that they are aware of and adhere to all Trust policies, procedures and guidelines relating to their employment regardless of their position within the Trust.

Perform and interpret routine cardiac investigations.

Perform specialised diagnostics investigations.
