Band 5 Scrub Practitioner (Nurse/ODP) - Podiatric Theatres
Our Podiatric Surgery department at Chelmsley Wood Primary Care Centre has a unique opportunity to join their community, Team.
Unlike traditional theatre roles, this position offers a comprehensive patient journey experience. You'll not only scrub for surgical procedures but also prepare patients pre-operatively and provide essential post-surgical care. This holistic approach means you'll develop deeper connections with our patients and gain broader clinical skills.
The team of 12 is led by our Consultant Podiatric Surgeon, Harry Brown, and consists of Consultants, Specialist Registrars, Nurses, Theatre Support Assistants and Admin colleagues.
Success will see you use your experience as a registered Nurse or ODP where your values align with our own - Kind, Connected and Bold. You'll need scrub experience and a passion for delivering excellent patient care. While experience in outpatient clinics and post-operative dressing clinics is desirable, we'll provide full training for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
*Assisting in the management and coordination of theatre and outpatient lists
*Providing hands-on care in our nurse-led outpatient clinics
*Preparing equipment and instruments for surgical procedures
*Supporting our Podiatric Surgeons and Anaesthetists in theatre
*Contributing to quality improvement initiatives
*Mentoring and supporting junior staff members
