Band 6 Senior Online Communications Specialist

Job summary

We are looking for an exceptional senior online communications specialist to join our team, to manage our internal and external online communications channels, and work with the wider communications and engagement team on the production of audio/visual communications materials and assets.

The successful candidate will provide online communications advice and support to all staff members and stakeholders. They will also be responsible for producing and managing digital content across multiple channels, matching channels, styles and messages to audiences as appropriate, internally and externally.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Supporting with the development and delivery of a digital communications strategy, focusing on improved use of digital content to engage with a wider range of people.

Providing teams and services with professional online communications advice and support, developing and delivering online communications plans for individual initiatives or projects of work, as required.

Development and maintenance of the Trust's website and intranet site; ensuring content is up to date, engaging, dynamic and responsive to audience needs; search engine optimisation; and ensuring accessibility standards are met. This include the provision of support and training for web editors.

Supporting and developing a range of digital communications including writing, editing and distributing/uploading intranet content, web content, and materials for projects and corporate activities.

Identifying and using suitable website metrics and other analysis tools to measure online activity. This will include producing reports to evaluate the effectiveness of digital activity and usage.

Taking a proactive role in finding new ways to reach different audiences and, working with other team members, to communicate effectively to staff and other stakeholders.
