Job summary
Are you looking for a new challenge. Ward 14 is a 29 bedded ward with patient who have complex surgical or social needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to help with the flow of the patient's journey.
You will be working closely with the nursing team and bed management team to aid discharges for patients on ward 14.
Main duties of the job
*Work closely with nurse in charge of the ward and the MDT for discharge of patients and aid flow.
*Completion of reports/documents with up-to-date patient information
*Update trust computer systems with relevant patient information
*Communicate with other agencies eg: social services or district nurses
*Communicate with patient and/or NOK.
*Arrange transport for discharges of patients.

Essential
- Good standard of general education to Level 2 standard including Maths / English Qualifications to level 2 / GCSE or equivalent
- Level 3 Qualification ( A level / AS / BTEC / NVQ in a related subject to business administration or equivalent comparable experience
Experience
Essential
- Experience in the provision of administrative support to the management of patients /or patient facing role in an NHS provider organisation
- Experience of Multi-disciplinary working / liaison within an acute NHS provider organization
- Experience in being the point of contact for enquiries from external / internal users / patients and families
- Can demonstrate the use of judgment and assessment of situations where there is more than one solution to an issue
- Can demonstrate ability to deal with routine and non -routine and unpredictable workload
- Understanding of the scope of the role in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
- Knowledge of administrative procedures including NHS IT systems which contain patient information ie PAS
- Knowledge of clinical terminology and patient flow within an acute hospital setting
- Can demonstrate knowledge of Data protection in relation to the role applied for
