As lead for education in the dietetic team you will act as a source of expertise in training and continuing professional development across the team and for the wider department.

This a dynamic team which includes the majority of our new graduates, so leadership and delivery of an excellent preceptorship offer will be a vital part of the role, ensuring a positive and supportive start to a career in dietetics. You will lead on clinical supervision of dietitians and dietetic assistants, providing coaching, shadowing and mentoring sessions in direct patient consultations, both multiprofessional and family meetings and providing guidance on the team's own quality improvement projects.

You should be able to work as a specialist, autonomous practitioner within the field for specialist medicine with consideration of chronic health conditions. Multidisciplinary team working will be essential and you will have a key role in promoting nutrition and raising the profile of dietetics across the Trust. This will include the opportunity to redesign our patient and staff education sessions utilising clinical auditing, supporting undergraduate placements and evaluating our current service delivery to improve nutritional outcomes for our patients.
