Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Respiratory Medicine at Birmingham.
We are looking for a confident, capable Clinic Coordinator to join our established team based at the Chest Clinic, this will be a varied role with responsibilities. The post holder will provide an empathic and sensitive point of contact for patients/relatives and carers and have a confident and calm manner and good communications.
You will manage the Occupational Lung Disease, Interstitial Lung Disease, support colleagues with their clinics and reception.
No experience? No problem. We'll teach you everything you need to know for the role. Main duties of the job
Book patients appointment to attend clinic, cancel appointments, reschedule appointments, cancel clinic when clinician is unavailable. Manage 18 week pathway. Receive and make telephone calls to patients/family, internal and external organisations. Action emails in a timely manner, cover reception as and when required, support the service when colleague is on leave or out of the office. Action referrals received, deal with efficiently and timely, receive and open post and take action as required. Review and action electronic correspondence and disseminate as appropriate. Provide patients with support, non-clinical advice and information on a range of issues including appointment queries. Attend and complete mandatory training. Good team working with colleagues and others within the Trust.
