Band 5 Registered Nurses both Full Time & Part Time Posts for Cardiology Ward
Ward 6 & Coronary Care Unit
The Cardiology Ward on the Heartlands Site, has Band 5 Registered Nurse positions, both part time and full-time hours.
The Ward has a ten bedded CCU, 20 cardiology ward beds, two cath labs and two day case units. This allows us to provide Primary PCI 24/7 and the NSTEMI service.
Bring your enthusiasm, passion, experience and a desire to develop your cardiology knowledge and skills, to our Cardiology Directorate and we will offer you the opportunity to work in CCU, Cardiology Wards and the Cardiology Cath Labs to gain a range of experiences.
We will welcome both experienced and newly qualified Band 5 Registered Nurses to apply for any of our areas.

- State registration with the Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC).
- MSc, Equivalent academic achievement ratified by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) OR Equivalent Level 7 Post Graduate Certification or Diploma
- Evidence of continuing professional development and proficiency in accordance with HCPC guidelines.
- Post registration specialty training in accordance with Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) guidelines
Experience
Essential
- Evidence of continuing professional development and discipline specific proficiency for HCPC registration.
- Demonstrate experience at BMS Band 6 post in a specific discipline.
- A specialised knowledge of:
- Fault finding and trouble shooting.
- Quality control and assurance practices.
- Laboratory health and safety.
- Laboratory accreditation standards.
- HCPC and IBMS professional standards, ethics, and proficiencies.
Desirable
- Evidence of supervisory role or experience
- Understanding of accreditation within labs (e.g. ISO 15189, MHRA)
- Evidence of HR and Personnel experience
