Job summary
To be responsible for the effective leadership of Logistics service at the Warehouse distribution centre in relation to the movement of materials from source to all delivery points. Organising work schedules and manpower, developing new work modules and training staff to carry out their duties. To develop and implement the strategy for materials across the trust, providing an effective and professional Logistics service which continues to deliver on-going cost efficiencies and benefits. Undertake lead responsibilities as a member of the logistics service team as agreed by the Logistics Warehouse Manager in new developments, projects and other objectives relating to Logistics service. The post holder must ensure appropriate arrangements are in place in order that the service is effectively provided at all times, Briefings, training and general management of staff. Post holder will be responsible for ensuring Health and Safety internal Audits and checks are carried out across the logistics division
Main duties of the job
Oversee the Trust's supply chain and warehouse organization, ensuring efficient stock turn and the smooth flow of non-stock materials to end users.
Manage stock replenishment routines, receipt and delivery processes, and periodic reviews, With the support from Logistics inventory controller team.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the workplace and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Prepare and implement workload schedules for performance monitoring of various supply chain activities.
