Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy and fast paced team as a Waiting List Co-ordinator based at Solihull Hospital. This post is full time and will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The post will be part of a large team of staff managing the elective waiting lists for several specialities, contacting patients to agree pre op and admission dates and nursing theatres are fully utilised.
The role will include answering queries and questions from patients and GPs on the telephone, to liaise directly with consultants, theatre staff, pre op nurses and speciality operational managers.
Main duties of the job
To be fully computer literate (training will be given on Trust PAS systems)
Work in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure
To have an eye for detail and be accurate when inputting data on to IT systems
Work collaboratively as part of an integrated team
To provide a point of contact for service users and provide excellent customer service skills
Maintain confidentiality at all times adhering to Caldicott Guidelines and Data Protection Act
To assist colleagues as directed by the Supervisor/Line Manager in times of pressure of work
Organise own day-to-day work tasks showing an ability to prioritise in order to achieve set timescales
Analyse and extract complex data sets from a number of different sources
Work within and keep up to date with National and Trust legislation, guidelines, policies, procedures, protocols and code of conduct relating to own role
