Are you a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated Sonographer who is registered with HCPC, RCT or NMC?
We are seeking qualified, enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated, and patient-focused Sonographers with NHS experience.
Join our passionate, caring, and dedicated Ultrasound team at UHB NHS Foundation Trust (Queen Elizabeth, Birmingham Heartlands, Good Hope, and Solihull Hospitals).
We provide a comprehensive Ultrasound service for a wide range of specialties and GP referrals across our UHB sites.
We provide high quality care in our 8 Ultrasound rooms with our team of 15+ hardworking Sonographers at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
You will work as an independent reporting practitioner, working autonomously but supported by fellow Sonographers, Consultant Radiologists, and the Ultrasound Leadership team.
We provide a wide variety of examinations including General abdominal, Gynaecological, small parts including Head & Neck and DVT's (Obstetrics and early pregnancy -- Good Hope, Solihull, and Heartlands Hospitals only.)
You should be a qualified Sonographer capable and willing to work to the highest standards, at a complex, tertiary hospital. You will be part of a team who support each other and take pride in delivering excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job
*Must be able to work independently and be competent to write a concise and accurate report
*Must be prepared to provide practical and theoretical training in medical ultrasound and take responsibility for countersigning reports for Clinicians, Midwives and Radiographers in training
*Must be prepared to continue with professional development to ensure a high standard of ultrasound examinations
*Must have relevant skills/knowledge/experience in the range of ultrasound techniques which are required
*IT experience to use the necessary computerised reporting system and image recording system
*Must be prepared to assist with the development of the service and protocols
*1. To be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the clinical skills required and the operation of all ultrasound scanners demonstrating expertise in clinical practice and highly specialist knowledge and to give specialised advice to Radiologists, Sonographers, Radiographers and the multidisciplinary team on all aspects of ultrasound.
*2. To contribute to the development and implementation of ultrasound protocols, procedures and techniques in conjunction with Radiologists and evidence based advances in practice.
