Job summary
Are you an enthusiastic, dynamic, clinical nurse, with an interest in Research, wanting to make the next step in your career?
Within research we currently have a Band 5 position available within the Cancer Research Team based at the QE site.
So, if you are experienced in Oncology and the delivery of Cancer Therapies, our post could be an exciting opportunity for you to expand your knowledge and skills in the field of research.
In this role you will be part of a team delivering high quality research from a range of commercial and academic studies from complex interventional studies through to observational studies. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of trial protocols; research processes and you will support the delivery of our expanding research portfolios. You will have the opportunity to further develop interpersonal communication, organization, time management, & documentation skills.
You will administer a range of therapeutic cancer treatments for trials across a range of disease areas within the oncology field, including but not limited to; chemotherapy, immunotherapy and monoclonal antibody therapies.

Main duties of the job
Essential Criteria for applying for this post:
*Displays genuine interest in the post applied for and can articulate this when questioned
*Registered level 1 Adult Nurse on the NMC register
*Previous / recent experience or working in an acute secondary NHS care setting
*Competent in managing the care of a group of patients / shift management and clinical leadership relevant to the practise setting
*Experience of working on own and in a team in a health care environment delegating to others within a team / providing supervision to others
*Competent in a range of clinical skills willingness to undertake expanded practices relevant to the scope of practice required
*Evidence of achievements and career development in current post and of ongoing professional development/ competence
*Good IT skills/ ability to record information electronically
*Positive and enthusiastic attitude
*Ability to communicate articulately
*Experience working in an Oncology setting
*Experience in delivering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT trained)
