Job summary
Applications are invited for a full time Fellow in Hepatobiliary imaging plus or minus Endoscopic Ultrasound to join the existing team of 81 Consultant Radiologists in post across UHB.
This is a unique opportunity to join the HPB imaging team and work as a part of the wider Liver transplant and HPB team, the largest combined unit in Europe offering a tertiary and quaternary care service.
The successful applicant will have access to dedicated sub-specialty sessions covering a range of complex imaging across modalities, in addition to a general commitment to the departmental workload. This post offers the opportunity to work closely with HPB clinical consultant colleagues in providing a cross specialty comprehensive diagnostic service to in patients and out patients, and also direct access primary care referrals. It will be an opportunity to gain significant experience in specialist HPB imaging services and to work alongside highly specialised clinical teams.

*HPB diagnostic work (department general inpatient imaging and basic intervention (drainage/biopsy) is expected),
*The option to undertake Endoscopic Ultrasound training.
Main duties of the job
A standard full time job plan will contain 10 programmed activities. A programmed activity will normally have a timetable value of 4 hours. The balance between the two types of programmed activities will be subject to agreement with the consultant and should reflect the actual typical distribution of Direct Clinical Care Activities and Supporting Professional Activities. This may include a requirement to undertake evening and weekend working in conjunction with other Radiological colleagues, as well as providing flexible capacity across modalities in line with service requirements.
