About the Role

As a Head Chef, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the production kitchen which produces meaYour leadership will ensure the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals for staff, visitors, and patients. From managing a dedicated team of chefs to developing innovative, sustainable menus, you'll play a vital role in elevating our catering services while adhering to legislative and safety standards

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

*Lead and train a talented team of chefs to consistently deliver high-quality meals.

*Oversee food production for retail outlets, ensuring availability, minimizing waste, and maximizing profitability.

*Collaborate on creating nutritious, seasonal menus for patients, retail and hospitality services.

*Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen management, and HACCP standards.

*Support recruitment and mentor staff to build a motivated, skilled team.

*Monitor budgets, manage resources, and plan efficient staff rotas.

What We're Looking For

We seek a dynamic leader with:

*NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent qualifications.

*Proven experience managing a professional kitchen and leading a team.

*Expertise in food safety, dietary requirements, and menu development.

*Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

*Financial awareness and budget management experience.
