Job summary
The Peri-operative Care Co-coordinator will play a prominent role in ensuring the optimization of
patients prior to their surgery. This will be achieved through developing excellent internal
communication pathways, the utilization of the internal escalation process and ensuring the multidisciplinary
team adheres to the department's internal professional standards.
The post holder will be liaising with Booking and Scheduling teams in relation to planned surgery
dates and keeping them informed about patients' health status in relation to surgery. The successful
candidate will contact patients with a decision to admit for surgery. This will involve explaining to
them the role of Preoperative assessment and optimization of co-morbidities using a health
assessment form.
