This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring both operational efficiency and a high level of service for our employees is delivered. The People Advisor will act as a first point of contact for all HR queries across the Trust, including complex recruitment issues, employee relations, Medical and Dental and Agenda for Change terms and conditions and Trust HR Policies and Procedures. On occasion, there will be an expectation that the People Advisor carry a small caseload of formal investigations.
Therefore, the successful candidate will need to have the ability to build effective working relationships with Trust colleagues, demonstrate excellent communication skills, be up to date with employment legislation and have the relevant skills to be able to demonstrate their experience developed within a front line, generalist HR role.

Main duties of the job
To provide first line, expert advice and guidance on all HR policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment for all categories of staff, as well as associated post-employment issues in line with Employment Law and best practice with a focus on enabling positive and sustained solutions.
To contribute and support the Team Leader and People Manager on the delivery and achievement of the Trust's key performance indicators.
To contribute towards the ongoing development of the People website, enhancing the provision of resources, tools, advice and guidance for staff and managers for routine HR enquiries.
On an adhoc basis undertake formal investigations through the application of the just and learning culture into employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment and performance improvement, enabling positive changes in behaviours, organisational learning and embedding a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment, discrimination.
