Job summary
We are looking for a organised and motivated individual to join our excellent, friendly and hard working team of Payroll professionals to provide a comprehensive administration and clerical support service to the payroll department. You will assist the team and team leader in general clerical duties associated with the monthly and weekly payroll production.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for tracing all documentation received without identification. This would involve tracing the sender via HR/Payroll system or contacting the sending organisation via telephone, face to face, email, or in writing by letter.
To respond to face to face or written requests for earnings details from employees and Trust managers, referring any issues to the relevant Payroll team. the post holder would be expected to seek assistance from the relevant payroll officer as necessary
To provide written responses to request for earnings details from mortgage companies, councils, courts, CSA etc, as required ensuring the employee's consent has been supplied as necessary to ensure compliance with GDPR.
To ensure that all cheques received in the incoming post are logged and processed in accordance with the host/client organisation's Standing Financial Instructions.
To assist the payroll teams with sorting and distribution of payslips in an accurate manner, and assist with stapling of payslip attachments.
To assist the payroll teams with the input of data and information onto the relevant systems as instructed by the relevant Payroll Team Leader, inputting the following data: Temporary data, timesheets, expense claim forms, absence, bank account details, name and address changes, Inland Revenue documentation such as P45's and Starter declarations, and any other ad hoc input required by the payroll team.
