The Cancer Services Division at UHB delivers world class cancer care to patients from across the country, with a range of specialised services in Oncology & Haematology, delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
We are pleased to offer an experienced individual the opportunity to be the Advanced Pharmacist for Haematology/Oncology Services at the Trust.
You will be a highly motivated individual and a team player with exceptional communication skills and a strong desire to use your knowledge, skills and experience to improve patient care and influence healthcare professionals in the best use of medicines.
You will deliver a high-quality specialist clinical pharmacy service and will be able to demonstrate effective leadership and management of staff and allocated services.
With the support of the senior team within Cancer Services, you will lead on core directorate activities such as reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance and risk management activities, as well as advancing your knowledge and skills within a specific clinical area.

Main duties of the job
*The Advanced Pharmacist for Clinical Oncology has management responsibility for the ongoing development and sustainability of a high quality, innovative clinical service to oncology/haematology patients across Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull sites of the Trust.
*The post holder will manage the clinical service delivery of pharmacists working within oncology/haematology and provide advice on pharmaceutical matters.
*The post holder will manage, lead, develop and participate in practice research, risk management, clinical intervention monitoring and clinical audit, including interface issues. They will represent the Trust in relevant clinical networks and in joint work with locality ICS, and relevant Regional and National bodies.
