Do you enjoy delivering high quality care to Stroke and Neuro patients in a variety of settings, acute wards, ESD and Out patient services? We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic OT to join our Stroke and Neuro Therapy Team at Heartlands Hospital.

We are a large and dynamic Therapy Team providing a high quality and effective in-patient and out patient services from our hospital sites. We have a strong emphasis on staff development and learning with excellent support and a robust supervision structure in place. We are committed to maximising staff potential. Main duties of the job

To provide a specialist Occupational Therapy Neurological rehab service across the pathway, ranging from both in-patient Stroke and Neuro rehab, to Early Supported Discharge and out-patient rehabilitation.

You will work as part of a large, friendly, dynamic and forward -thinking rotation across sites to deliver specialist, client centred rehabilitation for a range of patients. The role will enable you to deliver varied specialist rehab in both in-pt and out pt settings as well as patient's homes.

The team is committed to providing supervision and training to enhance your development and has a robust system of support and education in place.

You will contribute to our flexible working programme across the organisation.

To provide a high standard occupational therapy service across the stroke and neuro service.

To use your specialist technical skills to assist in the assessment and treatment of your own caseload stroke and Neurological patients. You will be working alongside specialist therapists who will be able to support your development.

The caseload is varied and with the possibility of a variety of settings, ESD, .acute stroke ward, Out patient , clinics and community visits.

  • * Diploma / degree in occupational therapy.
  • * Current registration with Health Professions Council.
  • * A levels or equivalent qualification
  • * Good standard of general education including GCSE maths and English grade C and above.
  • * Evidence of CPD including recent post graduate training relevant to clinical speciality.

Experience

  • * Demonstrates comprehensive clinical experience enabling the post holder to manage a caseload of patients with complex needs in this speciality.
