Job summary

Any Hospital or Community Pharmacy has a direct impact on patient lives through expert knowledge of health and medicines these incredible professionals help people to live longer, lead healthier lives and are relied upon by the communities they serve.

They are essential members of any healthcare team and never more so than here at Solihull Hospital, as this summer will see our new £45million Elective Hub opening.

When fully operational, the team will see 11,500 elective surgeries performed annually and an increase to our amazing workforce.

With that, the pharmacy team are now inviting applications to its newly created Band 3 Senior Pharmacy Assistant.

With an existing NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, you can be assured of joining a team who will not only support and guide you in your career but work with you to advance your pharmacy career.

Main duties of the job

Based at Solihull Hospital you will be an integral part of the dispensary team. Your previous Pharmacy experience will hold you in good stead as you adopt a flexible working approach to delivering a high-quality patient-focused service.

As with any clinical environment, your attention to detail and accuracy will be vital to guarantee safety, quality and availability of stock.

Although busy, often demanding and subject to time sensitive deadlines you can be assured of joining a supportive team across the entire pharmacy and wider Solihull Team.

As the successful candidate you will work across wards and departments on a rotational basis and encouraged to develop both personally and professionally.
