An exciting opportunity has become available at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital for enthusiastic individuals who would like to further their development within the operational management profession.
Speciality Medicine (Clinical Delivery Group 1A) are seeking three talented individuals to join our small and friendly team. The three departments available are:
-Infectious Diseases, HIV and Immunology & Allergy
-Respiratory Medicine (Hybrid post between Birmingham Chest Clinic and Birmingham Heartlands Hospital)
-Diabetes, Endocrinology & Renal Medicine
As a service manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational management and performance within the speciality supporting the Operations and General Manager. The post holder will provide business and managerial support to ensure that the activity, quality and financial objectives of the above-named services are delivered.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for three enthusiastic Service Managers to join the management team in Speciality Medicine (CDG1A) at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. The three departments available are:

-Respiratory Medicine (Hybrid post between Birmingham Chest Clinic and Birmingham Heartlands Hospital)
-Diabetes, Endocrinology & Renal Medicine
As a service manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational management and performance within the speciality supporting the Operations and General Manager. The post holder will provide business and managerial support to ensure that the activity, quality and financial objectives of the above-named services are delivered.
The Service Manger will manage and develop speciality information systems to monitor against targets and implement changes as required. As a member of the operational management team, you will work with the Operations Manager and General Manager on a range of performance activities and deputise for the Operations Manager when required. The ability to interpret and report data, alongside strong administrative and IT skills are important for this role.
