Job summary
Several exciting opportunities have arisen to join the MRI Physics Team at UHB NHS Foundation Trust, following expansion of our services and a valued member of the team moving on to a leadership position elsewhere. We are seeking to recruit a HCPC registered Clinical Scientist or someone who is in a position to achieve registration within a reasonable timeframe. However, candidates with less experience are strongly encouraged to apply and will be considered for appointment as a trainee on Annex 21 to band 7.
We are part of RRPPS, which provides radiation protection and physics services within UHB and to external providers mainly in the Midlands and South West regions. We provide a wide range of MRI physics support for clinical and research activities on 16 "in-house" MRI scanners across the four UHB hospital sites, the Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM) Imaging Centre and Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, along with approx. 30 MRI scanners across numerous external providers. Current exciting developments include a dedicated paediatric intra-operative scanner and a radiotherapy-planning scanner.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your interests and expertise in clinical MR physics within a friendly and supportive team.
