Job summary

The summary of the job is to both assist and support the Head of Contracted Services in the day to day delivery of assigned facilities contracts and in house Services across all UHB sites.

*Linen & Laundry contract (UHBFT)

*Sterile Gowns and Theatre Drapes contract ( UHBFT)

*Commercial waste contract, (UHBFT)

*Hygiene contract (UHBFT)

*Pest Control contract (UHBFT)

*Window Cleaning (UHBFT)

*Matting Services

*Uniform Services

Main duties of the job

To actively manage the day to day provision and delivery of service for all outsourced and in house services within the assigned Portfolio.

*To support and assist the Head of Facilities Contracted Services to promote the delivery of service, quality standards, and targets and to continually improve performance within the assigned contracts and services.

*Undertake specific projects and pieces of work as directed by the Head of Contracted Services

*Work closely with the wider Facilities and Logistics management teams to standardise systems, processes and working practices in line with in-house delivered services.

*Assist in maintaining and improving contractual specifications, SLA's and associated documentation.

*Chair /attend operational contract review meetings and any others as directed by the Head of Contracted Services ensuring accurate records of issues discussed and actions allotted are made and followed up with relevant contractors and in house teams.

*Challenge existing practices, processes and procedures, ensuring that progressive solutions, which take into account models of best practice, are incorporated into service.

*In conjunction with the Trust Estates team and PFI provider assist in the authorising and issue of required permits, for applicable contracted services such as Pest Control and Window cleaning.

*To undertake specified audits and inspections as directed by the Head of Contracted Services.
