Job summary
An exciting opportunity has risen in the Education Business Unit at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust to join our friendly team as an Education Business Co-ordinator.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will be supporting the Business unit team, providing a high quality, professional service to staff & colleagues.
The ideal candidate would have experience using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office packages, experience of software such as SAGE/ oracle would be ideal
We are currently recruiting for a Band 4 position at 37.5 hours per week (Based at Heartlands Hospital).
The role would require some cross site cover, if required for the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
o To work as part of the Education Business Unit supporting the team in all aspects of administration, commissioning, monitoring of education contracts, modules and programs across all disciplines and multi professional staff groups.
o To work as part of the team in the provision and promotion of a quality service.
o The post holder works to objectives agreed with the Education Business Advisor or Manager on the development of the Business Unit service and undertakes blocks of work as delegated.
o To support the Business Unit team in the administration of commissioning processes and new developments in the business and process.
o To liaise, maintain and enhance key working relationships, both internally and externally with stakeholders
o To work autonomously in the absence of the Education Business Advisor
o Use own initiative to plan time effectively and prioritize all incoming work on a daily basis.
o Work on own initiative to prepare background information, collate information into reports, produce statistics and create and manage spreadsheets.
o Ability to analyze, interpret and report complex financial information.
o To answer and deal with queries regarding commissioning issues.
o To be an effective team player, supporting colleagues in their work, updating them and communicating with them regularly.
