Main duties of the job

The post holder will use project management expertise to facilitate the creation of an invaluable online resource dedicated to cancer patients and healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include:

*Utilise project and change management techniques and methodology to support objectives of the project.

*Working in partnership with key multidisciplinary teams, cancer information and support services, allied health professionals and key stakeholders to plan, develop and lead on the development of cancer website suitable for cancer patients and professionals.

*Excellent communication skills, which facilitate working in partnership with other teams and with external organisations.

*Communicate and facilitate discussions where information is complex.

*Collate and develop different forms of information that would support to meet the information needs of cancer patients from patients with a new diagnosis to end of life.

*Ensure that the website complies with the guidelines of NHS regulations regarding accessible information.

*Ensure user views are sought throughout the development of the website.

*Handling enquiries from patients, staff and other key stakeholders including external agencies.

*Proactively manage complex situations through the employment of strong inter personal skill to engage, influence and lead a diverse range of stakeholders through transformational change.

*Develop and promote key corporate projects responding to sensitive and complex issues

  • *Evidence of continuing professional development in relevant speciality
