An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff nurse to join the Cardiac Surgery or Cardiology ward. It is an exciting opportunity for existing and newly qualified staff nurses to join our fast-paced wards.
The Cardiac Surgery Ward is 727 where they care for patient both pre and post op cardiac surgery. Patients are aged 18 and over and treat patients pre and post heart surgery this incudes patient with ventricular assist device systems and heart and lung transplant patients. You will have the opportunity opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge, leadership and management skills and gain competencies in cardiac speciality nursing such as care of chest drains, cardiac pacing, complex wound management and so much more.
The Cardiology Ward is 304 where they care for patient's requiring acute care due to a heart condition this can be elective or emergency admissions. These can be during an acute event such as a heart attack or patients pre or post a heart transplant. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge, leadership and management skills and gain competencies in cardiac speciality nursing including ECG monitoring skills, skills in caring for patients post non-surgical heart procedures and so much more.
Main duties of the job

There is opportunity to work alongside advanced clinical practitioners and clinical nurse specialists which help to widen your clinical experience.
