Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of Advanced Critical Care Practitioners in one of the largest and most dynamic critical care departments in the UK. The successful candidate will be primarily based at the Queen Elizabeth hospital and will be required to rotate between the General ICU and Cardiac ICU departments.

The individual we are looking for will be a highly motivated and will join our dynamic and extremely skilled team which works in partnership with the critical care team to deliver high quality care to complex critically ill patients in multiple specialities. Full support and mentorship will be provided as well as an induction programme and supernumerary period tailored to their needs, to enable the successful candidate integrate into the team

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate must be a qualified ACCP who has completed their post graduate certificate in advanced critical care practice or equivalent and will have completed their full MSc. They must also be registered with the faculty of intensive care medicine as an associate ACCP and be a non-medical prescriber. Preferably you will have achieved your airway and transfer OSF. The team works 11.5 hour shifts on a 24/7 rota. 20% of your rota will be non-clinical time, within this time you will be expected to undertake audit, research, education and service improvement projects which will enable you to maintain your four pillars of advanced practice
