Job summary
This is a new and exciting role, working with an established electronic patient record (EPR) and will traverse the boundary between digital and clinical healthcare. You will be working with oncology and haematology specialists and the in-house EPR development team, under the management of the lead electronic prescribing pharmacist to improve electronic prescribing of chemotherapy drugs and protocols
Main duties of the job
Develop and maintain chemotherapy prescribing protocols
Provide a clinical service to inpatients and/or outpatients for a proportion of the week
Develop and maintain systemic anti-cancer therapies within the electronic drug dictionary

- *4 year vocational Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent)
- *Post-graduate clinical pharmacy qualification or equivalent experience
- *Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council
- *Willingness to work towards non-medical prescribing qualification
- *1 year pre-registration training plus specialist knowledge acquired through diploma level
Desirable
- *Working towards Level I Faculty Membership with the RPS
- *Non-medical prescribing qualification

- *Maintain registration as a pharmacist with the GPhC
- *Significant post-registration hospital pharmacy experience in oncology
