Join our dynamic Digital Health Research Team in the Research Development and Innovation Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Data Wrangler to unlock the value of real-world data and contribute to ground breaking clinical research.
As a Data Wrangler, you will play a pivotal role in our multidisciplinary team, collaborating with clinicians, data scientists, statisticians, trial managers, and officers. You will work closely with team members to identify the data requirements for clinical studies, extract data from diverse sources within University Hospitals Birmingham, and transform and integrate it into our research data warehouse or secure data environment. Additionally, you will leverage your expertise in querying the existing data warehouse to provide valuable information and insights to support study design and applications.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
*Collaborate closely with team members to understand data requirements for clinical studies.
*Extract, transform, and integrate data from various sources into the research data warehouse or secure data environment.
*Utilize your proficiency in SQL server databases or other relevant environments to process and manipulate data.
*Query the existing data warehouse to provide valuable information and insights.
*Contribute to the design and application of clinical studies by providing data-driven insights.
Requirements:
*Demonstrable experience working with hospital and NHS healthcare datasets.
*Proficiency in processing and manipulating data using SQL server databases or similar environments.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
*Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
*Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet project deadlines.
