Job summary

A great opportunity to join the Logistics team, To be responsible for the effective Management of Logistics Services at the Warehouse Distribution centre in relation to the Storage & movement of IT equipment and Medical records from source to all areas of the site. Ensuring that services are managed professionally and effectively by researching and implementing new techniques and equipment, organising work schedules and manpower, developing new work models and training staff to carry out their duties whilst managing their personal development to achieve standards as required by national and trust guidelines. Undertake lead responsibility as a member of the Logistics Service team as agreed with the Deputy Head of Warehouse and Logistics and in new developments, projects and other objectives relating to the Logistics service.

Responsibility of the onsite RSU (Recycling service unit)

Currently three warehouse locations.

Main duties of the job

To Lead the Logistics staff through a departmental team of a Operations Manager/Deputy Logistics managers, ensuring that objectives are set and implemented. Ensure that the Logistics Service is delivered to the highest standard.

To monitor standards via computerised systems. Developing monitoring systems if they are not already in place or cannot easily be reported on, ensuring data is provided to the Deputy Head of Logistics and Warehouse on the department's performance.

The post holder will be expected to take overall responsibility for co-coordinating standards, performance and quality information of the site.
