Job summary
The Medical Education Quality Team is currently expanding in order to support the newly established UHB Medical Academy in delivering high quality education to our medical students, junior and senior doctors. This is an opportunity to join our team at a time when exciting new initiatives for ongoing development of medical education and quality improvements are being scoped and implemented. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Quality Co-ordinator to join our small team at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital to act as our central point of contact, support the department managers, oversee team administration and take responsibility for a number of key work streams. Main duties of the job
The post holder will have key roles in event management for quality inspections/visits, organise the trust educational 'grand round' programmes, maintain staffing establishment/circulation lists, and work with the team on collation, analysis and presentation of information related to overseeing the quality assurance functions. Working closely with managers, doctors and members of the wider education teams, the co-ordinator will be expected to work with a degree of autonomy, exercising initiative and judgement within agreed boundaries. Excellent IT/Teams skills, a professional and friendly communication style, and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail are essential to the role.
