We seek dynamic, dedicated individuals ready to enhance the practical sexual health skills and competence of our dedicated clinical team. As a Clinical Educator within Umbrella, your role will be pivotal in supporting development, delivery, and assessment in a range of both accredited and non-accredited educational programs.
In collaboration with fellow educators and healthcare professionals, you'll establish a dynamic learning environment for registered and non-registered clinical colleagues. Your role will focus on facilitating clinical competency achievement for all levels of the multidisciplinary team.
Ongoing support and development for your educational expertise will be provided, empowering you to offer coaching and pastoral support in this specialised education field.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Educator, your key responsibilities will encompass:
Mentoring Clinicians:
You will be entrusted with the mentorship of clinicians as they undergo training in core and accredited clinical competencies. This will involve providing on-site clinical support, conducting clinical audits, and performing assessments. Your guidance will play a vital role in their professional development.
Educational Support for Umbrella Clinical Partners:
In addition to mentoring clinicians within our organisation, you will extend your educational support and training to our umbrella clinical partners, including Primary Care and Pharmacy. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing their capabilities in providing comprehensive sexual health care.
Comprehensive Patient Care:
You will support clinicians in assessing, treating, prioritizing, and referring patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed sexual health care concerns. Your skills in sexual history taking, physical examination, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making will be instrumental in delivering quality patient care.
Ongoing Training Assessment:
A crucial aspect of your role will involve regularly reviewing the training and educational requirements of clinical staff at all levels within the Directorate. By identifying areas for improvement and tailored training needs, you will contribute to the continuous growth and enhancement of the clinical workforce.
