We are looking for dynamic, highly motivated applicants to work in Theatre on any of our four sites: Good Hope Hospital, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Solihull Hospital. We cover many specialities including Obs & Gynae, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Interventional Radiology, Thoracic, Cardiac, Liver, Neuro, Plastics, Burns, Hands, General, Urology, Renal, Maxillofacial, ENT, Vascular, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Day case surgery and Emergency. All we ask for is that you provide the very best care to our patients and work with our teams to ensure patient quality and safe care is delivered. You will be required to cover a range of shifts, which will include weekends, bank holidays, early/late/night duty, and the out of hours on call services.

Main duties of the job

Division 1 theatres are an exciting place to work; full of challenges, development opportunities and delivers great job satisfaction within a supportive and enjoyable environment. We have full/part time jobs for Band 5 Registered Theatre practitioners (RN/ODP) with any amount of experience. All we ask for is that you provide the very best care to our patients and work with our teams to ensure patient quality and safe care is delivered.

With any role within UHB, each post comes with the support of our education team and managers. This is extended by support from our School of Nursing, AHPs and Midwifery. *Good IT skills ability to record information electronically
*Ability to communicate articulately and motivate others
*Competent in a range of clinical skills / practices relevant to the scope of practice required, demonstrates willingness to learn specific skills associated with the practice setting.
*Evidence of or the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding and passion of the following.
*Time management / Delegation of duties and orientation of new / temporary staff
