Locum Breast Consultant Radiologist

Applications are invited for a position as a Locum Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Breast Radiology within University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

We are offering the opportunity to join an established and proactive Consultant Radiologist team in order to respond to the need of our growing service. UHB has a large radiology training scheme so an enthusiasm and aptitude for teaching and training would be an advantage. Applicants must have full GMC registration.

  • *Evidence of Continuing Professional Development including CME

Experience

  • Clinical
  • *Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required to gain UK CCT in Clinical radiology
  • *A clear and demonstrable commitment to Breast Imaging.
  • *Evidence of subspecialty training in Breast Imaging.
  • *Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
  • *An understanding of the requirements of Clinical Governance and Audit.
  • *Knowledge & understanding of role of ethical committee
  • *Ability to develop clinical specialities
  • Management & Decision Making
  • *Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other clinical specialties involved with imaging.
  • *Ability to organise and manage outpatient/inpatient priorities in accordance with Trust requirements
  • *Ability and willingness to work within the Trust and NHS performance framework and targets
