Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated waiting list coordinators to work alongside our team ofsecretaries, and managing 8 surgical waiting lists within the Trauma Department at the Queen ElizabethHospital Birmingham. The successful candidate will be required to be a key member of the Secretarial Team,providing a professional and high quality administrative service at all times.Our admin team looks after 20 busy consultants, each requiring a proactive secretary to manage their day today admin, booking admissions/appointments, liaising with patients and colleagues both internally andexternally. They must be willing to assist the consultant and department in providing the best possible care toour patients and service users in line with our trust values and mission statement.We are looking for someone ideally with working knowledge and experience of managing surgical waiting listsand the RTT pathway; excellent touch-typing skills, good knowledge of medical terminology, someone who isa team player but has the initiative to complete their individual tasks in a timely manner. We would like thesuccessful candidate to be pro-active, approachable, supportive to both patient and colleagues, to have aconscientious approach, and ability to demonstrate admin experience and be able to meet the main duties ofthe role as identified in the job description. You must possess excellent organisational skills and beexperienced in dealing with confidential information.
